The story, set in a parallel universe, follows the journey of Lyra Belacqua to the Arctic in search of her missing friend, Roger Parslow, and her imprisoned uncle, Lord Asriel, who has been conducting experiments with a mysterious substance know as "Dust". There is a letter from Arthur Levine, Editor-In-Chief at Alfred A. Knopf publishers at the start of the book extolling the brilliance of the story and the envy of being able to have the very first copy. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight and the covers are clean. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. With be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box.
