About this title

Marvin Mallard, the star reporter for "The Daily Quack" and a citizen of Duckville, embarks on a mission to smoke out the evil duck who is leading the wild ducks to greedy hunters in the Great Wild Marsh

From Publishers Weekly:

This hardcover comic book in six chapters is replete with good ducks, bad ducks and righteous revenge. It seems that the wild ducks living outside the friendly town of Duckville are no longer safe: duck hunts are taking place, with an unknown, dastardly turncoat duck leading the hunters to their quarry. Before hero Martin Mallard, ace reporter for the Daily Quack , can act on his suspicions, he is framed by Alfred Duckmuck ("a rotten duck who will do anything for money"). The courageous Martin endures assorted trials and twists of fate before he is ultimately vindicated. Adding to the complications are three mean duck hunters and a sweet-hearted wolf. "Main Characters," a humorous ID chart at the beginning of the book, will help younger readers follow the rather complex story line in this captivating, farcical fable of the triumph of right over might. Ages 3 - 7.
