Signed presentation copy by author to old World War II comrade: "To a G.I. comrade of the Aussie "Diggers" --[***]. with best wishes G. H. Fearnside. Sydney, Australia, March, 1967" Fearside had served in North Africa, most notably at Tobruk, where he met his American friend one can only guess. Dust-jacket in protective mylar covers. Inside covers show old adnesion marks from self-stick tabs on verso of flaps. but obscured by dust-jakcet. Mild spine lean. A clean, sound, unmarked copy with wonderful presentation on half-title.
