Unusual association item. An ink notation, "aboard the S.S. Tashmoo September 1st, 1935" is followed by signatures of about 30 descendants of the original Pilgrims who came to America on the ship Mayflower in 1620 together with the name of the relative claimed. . Among the signatures, without any kinship claim, is that of Henry Ford, perhaps the host of the gathering, perhaps just the result of a souvenir opportunity. The Tashmoo was a three deck paddle wheeler that sailed on the Detroit River from about 1900 until it sank in 1936.The book is a long poem illus w/ marginal drawings and a couple of full pages in color and includes the Mayflower Compact and Passenger List. .
