In his previous life, he has been profiled in Business Week and has appeared on CNN, CNBC and other financial channels. Earlier in his career, he was a well-known columnist for a leading computer magazine and the recipient of many technical awards. In 2006, he was arrested and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit broker fraud. He pleaded guilty and served nine months in a minimum-security prison camp.
