About this title

Synopsis:

Governing Idaho explains the history, geography, and demographics that make the political structure of this western state a fascinating place. Whether it be in the politically liberal north, the staunchly conservative southeast, or the rapidly changing southwest of the state, the social and political factors that determine who gains power in the Gem State often flies in the face of logic and makes for an interesting study in contrasts.

About the Author:

Dr. James B. Weatherby is Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University. He is co-author of The Urban West: Managing Growth and Decline. He is co-editor of the Idaho Municipal Sourcebook. Randy Stapilus has been a journalist, political analyst and author in the region since 1974. An award-winning reporter and editor for daily newspapers in Boise, Pocatello, Nampa, Lewiston and Coeur d'Alene. Stapilus is also the author of a number of books, including Pardox Politics.
