Book Description Printed & published by Leonard & Virginia Woolf at the Hogarth Press 52 Tavistock Square London W.C., October 1924., 1924. Condition: Sehr gut. Original boards with title lable, 57 pp., ("Yellow-gold paper boards printed in white, green, and red; yellow label lettered in black on top cover"), spine almost gone (as usual with the early Woolf handbound books), tiny old paper labels next to top and bottom and spine, where a previous owner tried to fix it, knick in front cover, quite clean copy internally. Crossed out ownership inscription by Alan Hodge (1915-1979; he went together with his wife to Majorca to work with Robert Graves; Hodge`s wife later married Robert Graves) and ownership inscription by Kenneth Allott (1912-1973, Anglo-Irish Poet, whose poems were published by the Hogarth Press in 1938). One of 400 copies handprinted and handbound by Leonard and Virginia Woolf; 139 copies were sold by February 1926 and still in print in 1939. Woolmer 51; Rhein pp. 55. Printed and published by Leonard and Virginia Woolf with a dedication to, and an introduction from, Robert Graves. 57 pp. 8vo. Covers are sturdy boards covered in one of the brightly colored patterns that the Woolfs seem to have preferred (goldenrod, green, red and white). Pasted-on title block on front cover has black lettering and rules on goldenrod-colored paper. Left-hand side of title block is beginning to lift. Sunning to spine. Board corners are slightly worn and/or chipped. Interior is yellowed with age, but is clean, crisp and tight. Seller Inventory # 4437
