About this Item

A scarce and very good first edition of the Strathmore Paper Company's A Grammar of Color. This book was arranged and prepared with the authority of the late A. H Munsell of Boston, who spent his life in the perfecting of the Munsell System of Colour, and it is the first presentation of this system to the Printing, Advertising and Paper Trade. The decorations throughout the text, and type composition of this book, were designed and executed by T. M Cleland of New York, who has also executed the presswork on the color sheets. Color sheets and areas showing color combinations by Rudolph Ruzicka of New York. Collated and Complete. Condition: In a cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine. Externally generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. Internally firmly bound with very bright and clean pages throughout, save for minor, light spotting to the first and last few pages. Textblock uncut. Overall: VERY GOOD. Bookseller Inventory # 039041
