A Grammar of the Greek Language: Original Composed for the College-School at Gloucester. By John Snelling Popkin and printed in Boston by J.T. Buckingham. 1805, 223 pp, 7.25 x 4.5, full leather. 2nd American edition in fair condition, with the front board loose. Rubbing to leather on boards and spine. Bottom corner of front board is missing. Text block is in good condition throughout. Old hand inscription on front pastedown. Slight wear to top corner of first few pages. Toning and foxing throughout, with slight unobtrusive pencil marginalia in places. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and antique English-language look into the study of Greek grammar, written by John Snelling Popkin (1771-1832).
