Seconda edizione di questo curioso studio sulla societ� e sui costumi del settecento, con annotazioni assai singolari sul ballo, sul teatro, sulla cucina. Fra le pp. 25-32 si trova una lettera dell'autore al cappellano del Re di Sardegna, Tommaso Campastri. Novelliere e violinista compositore, il Robbio di San Raffaele fu accanito avversario Voltaire. A Torino fu membro della Societ� Letteraria Sanpaolina dove conobbe l'Alfieri, il Denina e Galeani Napione.
