Maurice Maeterlinck [ Comte (Count) Maeterlinck ] (1862 1949) was a Belgian playwright, poet, and essayist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911. The main themes in his work are death and the meaning of life. Spine chafed at bottom & bumped at top, bottom of spine & adjacent front boards slightly discolored (damp-affected), page-edges & endpapers age-toned, else a solid VG+ copy (no dust jacket).
