Synopsis: Meet Tom: warm, buoyant, lovable Tom. He's an unusual man, defying the norm. Nothing he does, is done in a regular manner. He claims to be "just a regular guy," but I know better.... I'm his wife. Let me take you on the fascinating journey through Tom's life. Beginning with his energetic and mischievous childhood, we'll move into his Navy years as a young and restless sailor. From there, we'll unfold his drug-fueled adventures as a hippie. Then we'll join him in the heartwarming story of redemption, followed by the hardest years of his life -- years that would either make or break the man. As we walk with him through this season of loneliness and pain, we will wonder how it will ever end, yet we will be encouraged to be in the company of a man with such an optimistic and determined spirit. Finally, we'll rejoice with him as the Lord rebuilds his life -- in a very special way. Bethany Kusmit was born in Portland, Oregon, and raised in Southern Oregon. She has lived in Washington, Michigan, and Texas, and currently resides in New England with her husband Tom. Bethany's spiritual roots go deep, having many Christians and preachers in her lineage -- including a circuit riding preacher who grew up among the Indians. While attending a Nicky Cruz Crusade as a teenager, Bethany gave her heart to the Lord, and became involved in Christian ministry several years later. Her hobbies include writing, decorating, and playing the piano, just to mention a few. Bethany is the mother of six grown children, and grandmother of nine.
