About this Item

384pp. Stated "First Printing: April 2003" with '1' present in number sequence on copyright page. Light turquoise boards with black backstrip and brilliant gilt-stamped lettering on spine; lower corners bumped with minor wrinkles left behind, but still essentially square; thin lines of age-toning across bottom cover edges; gentle, faint foxing speckles on fore-edge; light brown (foxing?) stain on fore-edge, bleeding slightly, echoing less forward from p 380 (1/8" to less, for only 7 pp of 384) onto margins of pp. 380-367; faint smudge on p. ix, first page of Prologue, which appears to have been originally damp, possibly brushed off leaving a very faint stain on fore-edge alone (no bleeding): describes much worse than it is, but there you have it. Dustwrapper not price-clipped ($24.95) illustrated with sunset beach scene at botom front cover of woman walking (running with) dog; black title box at top center front cover, author name lettering in light blue embossed letters, above small similar letters for title; 1/4" tear up rear cover bottom left corner. Inscribed and signed by author on title page: "_ _ _ _, / Love, / Nicholas Sparks". Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 005844
