La Guerre et le Debat entre la Langue les Membres et le Ventre. Published 10 May 1840 in conjunction with la Societe des Bibliophiles Francais, printed by Crapelet, and sold at Silvestre, Rue des Bon-Enfants, Paris. This is a facsimile printing of a work by the French poet and author, Jean (or Jehan) d'Abundance, originally published in the 16th Century. A very good copy of this scarce publication. Rebound in a beautiful fine binding; three quarters leather with marbled boards. Cover with 5 raised bands and gilt title. Spine is sun faded (though in an attractive manner). A beautiful little book, with blue title pages and the fascimile faithfully reproduced with varying page widths as issued, and wonderful woodcuts. Occasional light foxing.
