About this Item

This is a very nice example of this book. Bound in blue-green cloth with an elaborately gilt decorated cover with still bright gilt lettering. The cover scene shows Gulliver sitting at the entrance to the main city of Lilliput. There is slight wearing to the spine ends and the covers have very good, unworn edges. The cover states that there are 150 illustrations while the Title Page states that there are over 250 illustrations. Most of the illustrations are not signed. 2 that are signed are by Sargent and by Linton. There are 416 pages which are clean, crisp and are still tightly bound. There is a little shakiness to the area of the front inner hinge. There are no ownership inscriptions or bookplates. Gilt on all 3 sides. Bookseller Inventory # 9995
