The first, slimmer volume is a thorough discussion and history of the Seventh Symphony by Donald Mitchell and Edward R. Reilly, while the thick second volume is a color facsimile of Mahler's entire manuscript. The inside front clamshell case panel also houses a two CD recording of Haitink conducting the Seventh Symphony with the Berlin Philharmonic and an accompanying square 32mo booklet.
