This is an original, complete issue of 16 pages dated August 6, 1881 -- Vol. 25, No. 1285 -- Illustrated with wood cut engravings -- Covers and contents are tight, very nice condition -- The Front Cover has a full page engraving by Thomas Nast titled "Plucked Of His Plumage (Or Patronage)" (Jackdaw) -- Page 532 has several engravings titled "Destroyed By A Cyclone" (New Ulm, Minnesota) -- Page 533 has five engravings titled "Sketches In The Azores", subtitled as follows: "Butcher's Shop, St. Michael", "Matriz Church, Ponta Delgada, St. Michael", "Grotto D'Echo, Furnas, St. Michael", "Bocca D'Inferno, Furnas, St. Michael", and "Summit Of Pico" -- Pages 536 & 537 have a double page centerfold engraving titled "Unsavory Hunter's Point--The Factories And Refineries On Newtown Creek" -- Page 540 has a full page engraving by T. De Thulstrup titled "Our Summer Resorts--Sketches At Coney Island" -- Page 541 has six portrait engravings, titled as follows: "Commander George S. Merrill", "General D. G. Swaim", "Colonel A. F. Rockwell", "J. Stanley Brown", "The Late Justice Clifford" and "The Rev. Dr. Garnett". This page also has a large engraving by J. O.
