Reinhart. Illustrated articles include: "The Last Steam-Ship Collision"; an obituary of the late railroad magnate Frederic A. Potts with a portrait engraving; family portraits to accompany articles about the newly elected President Harrison and Vice-President Morton. The double page centerfold "A Practice Game at Yale by the Champion Foot-Ball Eleven" is drawn by Frederick Remington to accompany an article about Yale's team. Frederick Remington has another drawing to illustrate an article on the Hudson Bay Trading Store; and a third full-page drawing "Thanksgiving Diner for the Ranch" There are portraits of a number of the newly elected governors of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota and Missouri. Another installment of H.Rider Haggard's book Colonel Quaritch is included. The last 8 pages are "Books are the Best Holiday Present" with illustrated reviews and a catalog listing of forthcoming titles of Harper. Sm. folio. Disbound issue so spine edge is somewhat ragged, some pages have a short tear from the outer edge. Overall fine softcover periodical. Bookseller Inventory # 89256
