It has old and rough old restorations on the bottom right corner (marginal) of the frontispiece and on two text pages. A rare work quite appreciated and a classic account of the history of the conflicts Austro-Hungary Empire and the Ottoman Empire. These started on August 6th 1682 with attacks by Ottoman troops on the south of Hungary. The largest operation was the siege of Vienna that started on July 14th 1683 and ended on September 12th of the same year with the defeat of the Turkish troops by the rescue army led by the King of Poland, João Sobieski. This was one of the most important events in the history of Europe since it marked the end of the progress of the Otoman Empire. This work narrates the following military operations that led to the reconquest of Hungary and other territories in the Balkans until 1688. Peace would only be celebrated in 1699. Fr. Francisco Antonio de Montalbo (Sevilha, 1648 - after 1708) lived in Rome from 1680 on and in Salamanca from 1704 to 1708. He authors fifteen works published between 1681 e 1708.
