Tan calf binding- quilted calf boards, edges of covers embossed, gilt lettering on spines, edges of text block marbled, light brown end papers. Condition of each volume is VERY GOOD: light wear to covers and spine, spines lightly faded and leather slightly drier than covers, light soiling to covers, top edges of text block darkened, light tanning to ffep. & rfep., book plate of Robert Carter esq. and small book plate of David B. Ogden on insides of front covers, pages white with light ghosting, bindings tight. Vol. 2- two small nick to rear cover. Vol. 3- few light scuffs to front cover, top spine edges worn, one leather label missing- the other damaged. Vols. 4,6,8, 12- leather labels damaged. Vol. 7- slightly heavier wear to spine. Vol. 10- several small nicks to front cover, damage to leather label. Vol. 13- slight silverfish damage to lower corner of last few pages and inside on rear cover, leather labels damaged.
