This is a very early set of this history of England by the Scottish historian and Philosopher. The books all have edge wear, noticeable especially at the head of the spine. Each vol has some foxing in the first couple of pages, but the texts are quite clean and tight. Most of the vols have writing on the ffep, "School District No 8, Guilderland" - not an ex-library book, no markings.
