[142](the facsimile)+[6], frontispiece portrait of Pepys, reproduction of Pepys' bookplate at end of facsimile; wide med. 8vo; full black morocco, spine lettered and decorated in gilt between raised bands, the boards with gilt rule border and Pepys' coat of arms in gilt at centre, a couple of tiny pinprick holes near foot of spine; a.e.g.; within publisher's red papered slipcase with black sides, slightly soiled, bottom edge a trifle scuffed; dentelles decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, book label of David Levine, Sydney, and publisher's limitation label on upper pastedown; Paradine/Magdalene College, Cambridge, London, 1976. Edition limited to 100 numbered copies. *Facsimile of the 1489 second edition, reprinted from the only surviving copy, which belonged to Samuel Pepys. Includes a brief history of the edition by J. A.
