About this Item

4to. (25 cm.) [4]5-50p. Illustrated with color drawings by Sybil C. Williams. Color pictorial paper over stiff stock. Charming tale of Gypsies in Wales who try to abandon two children in a kind of "Hansel and Gretel" story, only to have them survive, rescue several other children from a wicked witch, who turns them into toys, and end up vowing to live together forever. (The children were not siblings.) The color illustrations by Sybil C. Williams, including 8 full-page plates, are just delightful. Very minor wear to extremities with a slight bit of rubbing at the top and bottom of the spine, else near fine/ Jacket soiled with spine worn and with chips at the top and bottom but most all there.
