The author served on the Haida during the period covered by this book. Inscribed and dated, 13th April, 1949, by author on half-title page. Blue cloth covers with gold lettering to front and to spine. Covers mildly soiled. Spine edges rolled with minor wear to edges and corners. Former owner name on front end paper, DJ good only with small chips missing at edges and with water stain on back and browning to spine and back cover.
