Hampton Institute was one of the first colleges established for the education of African Americans but not exclusively, for it also educated Native Americans. It is illustrated with in-text and full-page wood engravings and a folding plate of the school at the front. 8vo. 255, [1] pp., folded frontispiece, illus.
