About this Item

Single sheet with an interesting graphic design utilizing images of Marilyn Monroe, Bob Dylan, Timothy Leary, and Allen Ginsberg. The Cockettes were an LSD-inspired, gay liberation theatrical group of hippie drag-queens founded by Hibiscus, whose real name was George Harris. After a philosophical dispute with The Cockettes Hibiscus left the group and formed The Angels of Light. "Earthquake" was the Angels' first performance, a revue featuring both Cockettes and Angels of Light members performing in a SF loft transformed into a performance space. Few small stains to the verso with only a couple of tiny spots visible from the front, else fine. Material relating to The Angels of Light is scarce. Bookseller Inventory # SKB-16143
