Letter at beginning of the book to author's wife, from Little, telling her that he is republishing this work. BINDING: Hardbound in green cloth with gold lettering on the spine, 176 pages. DUST JACKET: Jacket has an exterior tape repair at the top spine end and a 1 3/4" rip at the top rear flap crease. Jacket is not clipped but there is no price on the jacket. BOOK CONDITION: The book has a 1/8" fade line at the top spine end otherwise it is very good with sharp corners and bright lettering. the binding is tight and the book is very clean inside and out. there is a name written at the top of the first free end paper otherwise the interior is unmarked. DESCRIPTION: Illustrated story of a mining disaster in the village of Hartley in Northumberland (UK) in 1862 when 204 men and boys were killed. Bookseller Inventory # 001845
