About this Item

This Harvard College Class of 1907 included Harry Elkins Widener who went down on the Titanic in 1912 and for whom Harvard's Widener library was named. The class also included Earl Der Biggers the author of the "Charlie Chan" mysteries. These 25th through 55th reports were printed in 1932, 1937, 1942, 1947, 1952, 1957, and 1962. Except for a whitish paint stain on the spine of the 25th report, all 7 books are in very good, tightly bound condition. The 1932, 25th anniversary report of the class of 1907 of Harvard University contains a 2 page autobiography by Earl Der Biggers. He describes how he came to develop the Charlie Chan mysteries after a 1924 visit to Hawaii. He also lists some of his publications and plays. The book is generally clean and tightly bound. There is a 2 inch by 1 inch white paint spray on the upper spine, which partially covers the wording. There is a closed 1/2 inch tear to the top of the spine. xxiv, 787 pages, followed by photographs of many members of the class as they appeared in 1907 and as they appear in 1932 - including Earl Der Biggers and Harry Elkins Widener.There are 1-1/2 pages about Harry Elkins Widener.
