About this title

For those that want a book to uplift their spirits, remember, this book was written to make men laugh and beautiful women smile.

About the Author:

This book has been written for the reader’s enjoyment by the poet and writer Edward David. His writing is generally unusual and his poetry is well rhymed and dazzling and delightful. Edward David at this writing is a seventy nine year old man and has done many things in his life. He grew up in the small historic town of North Tarrytown on the Hudson River in New York State. At the age of six he wrote his first poem. At the age of thirteen while in the seventh grade he became an avid reader. The first class of the day was reading class. The students checked out a book and were given three weeks to read it. The forth week they were given to do a book report. Well he could not put the book down and read it in all his other classes, reading a book a day his entire school year. At the end of the school year he received his final report card that listed his subjects and next to each was his final grade. The first subject was reading and it showed an A. The rest of the subjects were all marked with an F. It must have confused his parents. They sent him to summer school and he passed the tests and went to the next grade the following school year. While in his young teens he spent much of his time walking the huge estate of the Rockefeller Family. The estate was very extensive with many miles of woods and lakes and Eagle Mountain and a briskly flowing stream of fast moving water. There were wild deer roaming freely on the land. Like so many of the youth of the day he had spent several years in the boy scouts then quit and joined the sea scouts. At a young age he earned his spending money working as a news paper boy and caddying at country clubs and setting pins at the local bowling alley. At age seventeen he joined the army during the Korean War serving three years. After that he joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War. When honorably discharged he went to work for Pan American Airways in New York City.

Then after six years with Pan American Airways he quit and moved his wife and two daughters to Phoenix Arizona, a calmer place to raise the children. In Phoenix he worked in a large machine works as one of the managers. During his life he has worked for the Airlines. Now he is a poet and writer. As a child he heard over the radio that the Jap’s had attacked Pearl Harbor and the anger people felt. He lived through the time of war with Germany and saw the end of the war when they danced in the streets and the troops came home.
