The book is bound in full brown genuine leather with brass-die stampings with 22-karat gold decorations and title and ribbon marker AEG with uncut pages. The only defect to note is the Southern Classics bookplate with registry number. Printed on 60-pound Number 66 Antique Cream paper. Frontis is a photograph of McCullers.
