About the Author:

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in East Los Angeles, he was part of a neighborhood clique growing up. He went into the service and was in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He was rewarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal for performing his duties there. He achieved a counseling certificate from Pacific Oaks and has worked in drug and alcohol treatment centers and was a director of a treatment facility in El Sereno, California.
