About this Item

Entire issue, October 18, 1959, in original printed wraps with color photograph of Hemingway by Ken Heyman, light general wear but somewhat brittle given the cheap quality newsprint, and would benefit from a careful trim along the bottom edge to clean up some of the minor chipping. This piece presents Hotchner's question and answer interview of the American author and adventurer among a group of high school students in the small town of Hailey, Idaho, near Ketchum, where Hemingway had promised the parish priest he would meet with the church young people's group. Questions were submitted by the youth, and asked of Hemingway by his friend Hotchner, who of course would later write the biography, Papa Hemingway. Article spans 4-pages, and includes 3 photos of the author by John Bryson. This magazine was an insert in the Dallas Morning News. Very scarce. Bookseller Inventory # 018830
