Original tan board with black lettering on front cover. A black, tan and brown illustration of a theater on the front cover. 7 X 8 1/2 inches. 75 pages. From the Preface, "The first chapter of this book was revised by Sir Henry Irving a few months before his death". This copy contains 6 black and white illustrations, one is a black and white photograph of Irving. One small illustration is on the back cover, which is of Irving's bookplate. Copy has been mended.
