Original wraps, paper label on front cover; 8vo; pp. 31, illustrated. Inscribed by Kisch to [Robert] Bergman, in the top margin of the title-page; and including a laid-in ALS from Kisch to Bergman, dated 1940, on his professional stationery (with original mailing envelope). And with a laid-in offprint of article by Kisch, "Der Truppenarzt", from "Sonderadruck aus 'Osterreichischen Rundschau,'" 1917, also signed. Some light sunning and wrinkling along yapp edges, otherwise an excellent -- and unique -- copy of the book, a collection of WWI poetry. Kisch was a noted cardiologist and medical director at Yeshiva University. A native of Prague, he taught in Cologne until 1938, when he fled to avoid Nazi persecution. Bookseller Inventory # D7674
