About this title

Synopsis:

In this, the second book of the Herckamer Chronicles, our hero tries to settle down to a routine of domestic tranquility. He moves his bride into a great house high on a hill in Tennessee, deep in the forest. The house overlooks the wide valley below, and it is just a tad weird. Well, all right! A lot weird. Of course, it is in the second book that Herckamer learns that he is to be a father, establishes the Bailey Research Center, and grows into his two jobs: saving the forest, and learning to be a Wizard. But the involuntary wizard's problems have just begun! Herckamer must soon deal with a nosy tax collector, and attempt to save Randy, a student who runs afoul of Shumalla the Dragon. In the process, a dragon egg is injured, resulting in a highly irate mother! Not a good thing at all, when you think about it. Then things just go from bad to downright worse! It is finally up to Herckamer to find his family and students who are in the House that Is(n't) There!
