About this title

Synopsis:

After covering the Red Wings from 1994 - 1998, it seemed like a natural progression to do a book about the greatest Red Wings of all time. Covering a coach who's already in the Hocky Hall of Fame, Scotty Bowman, sure future Hall of Famers like Steve Yzerman, Paul Coffey, Slava Fetisov and Igor Lationov, probably Hall of Famers like Sergei Federov and Mike Vernon and younger players who are among the best of their own era like Nicklas Lidstrom, Darren McCarty, Vladimir Konstantinov and Chris Osgood. It was quite an experience to research the outstanding careers of Gordie Howe, ted Lindsay, terry Sawchuk, Red Kelly, Alex Delvecchio, Marcel Pronovost, Jack Adams, Harry Lumley, Ebbie Goodfellow and Syd Howe, as well as Gary Bergman, Mickey Redmond, Nick Libett and Reed Larson.
