About this Item

A trip down memory lane, full of enchanting nostalgia, in this beautifully illustrated and carefully crafted volume. Ten full page (I may have miscounted) color illustrations by M. L. Kirk, protected by covering tissue, with another color illustration of Hiawatha as a young boy on the cover; binding strong and tight, but with bottom edge bumped, slight soiling around edges, some spotting on the rear board, and a few small white spots on the very bottom edge, not visible when the book is on the shelf. Inscription in pen on frontispiece: "Leslie Reynolds, Christmas 1910 from Papa and Mama." A handsome copy, in collectable condition. Adapted from Longfellow By Winston Stokes, with the Original Poem.
