Highly important account of the apparition of Our Lady of Ocotl?n, near the city of Tlaxcala, the building of the sanctuary there, its improvements over time, etc., but also much on the province of Tlaxcala. Included in the fore-matter is an anonymous poem account of the Three Child Martyrs of Tlaxcala and other poetic effusions. This edition is revised and with new matter not found in the first edition (Puebla, 1745). Provenance: Marca de fuego; of the Convento de San Agust?n de Oaxaca; bookplate of the John Carter Brown Library, properly deaccesseioned. 4to. [14] ff., 146 pp., [1] f. Medina, Mexico, 4001. Contemporary limp vellum, much shrunken, remnants of ties. Endpapers defective and missing pieces. Text block waterstained and with significant worming, including in the text.
