(8 1/8 x 6 1/2 inches). 63, [1]pp. Library blindstamp. Later half calf over marbled paper-covered boards (extremities rubbed) First edition in English of a noted French work on the negotiations to end the French and Indian War. First English language edition of this important collection of state papers relative to the establishment of the Treaty of Paris which ended the French and Indian War, the cession of Canada, the limits of Louisiana, the fisheries off Newfoundland, Cape Breton, Guadeloupe, etc. This work was issued at the order of the French government in an attempt to lay fault at the feet of the British for the termination of peace negotiations, and it was quickly translated from the original French and printed in the present London edition the same year. A document of great importance, with a key place in the beginning of the negotiations which would result in securing for the British much of North America.
