About this Item

(Title continued) "May 1816, on the recent persecutions in the South of France". From a theological library. Bound in period full brown calf, with embossing to the cover edges. The spine is in 5 compartments with still bright gilt, and a complete gilt lettered label. There is a library label in the lowest compartment. The edges are slightly rubbed, with a few small discolorations to the well attached covers. The inner cover has a theological library bookplate, with the original bookseller's label - "Kennett Bookseller / 59 Gt. Queen Street / LIncoln's Inn Fields". There is an 1834 inscription on the frontpaper. 203 clean, crisp, and tightly bound pages, but with foxing, heavy in some places. half of the back inner cover has pencil notes. There is a small white library label on the front cover. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 14495
