Publisher's textured brown cloth, front covers with author's gilt-stamped signature, back covers with publisher's blind-stamped insignia, spines with gilt-stamped title and small flag decoration; spine extremities rubbed. Ex?social club library: call number on endpapers, rubber-stamp on title-pages and several others, no other markings. Paper slightly embrittled, with a few corners and edges chipped.
