Two volume edition, xxxvi,480pp; xx,490pp, engraved map, engraved frontis with tissue guard and one other plate. General major shelfwear but hinges still supple with fraying at spine ends and one or two local tears. Vol I has been inexpertly glued at inner hinges, servicable repair but far from ideal as first few leaves are glued in a half inch away from the hinge. The reapir is effective however. Volume II inner hinges shaky, but generally these are firm, readable copies, not too delicate. Gilt titling still clear on faded spines, text blocks are sound with only the occasional freckle.
