J.C. & W.E. Powers, NY. A regimental history of the 85th Pennsylvania Infantry, they fought in the Peninsula Campaign, the Seven Days, New Berne, NC, Morris Island, SC, and the Bermuda Hundred. They were mustered out in November 1864. The history is heavy on the soldier s accounts, approximately 25% of the book is on the Seven Days battles, much of it using first hand recollections. Includes a full unit roster. Very good copy of the first edition. The gilded letting on the spine is faded. No dust jacket. 467 pages. Bookseller Inventory # 2613
