About this Item

Spine darkened but gilt still bright, top 2" of front joint cracked. Internally clean and fresh. Bookplate of N.C. Colthurst, Baronet and MP from Cork 1812-1826. James, the son of John, is believed to be the author but this has been a matter of debate, as has been Rawlinson's editorship. As of this writing we also have a fine copy of the modern critical edition (Roger Turvey, ed.) of this work which we can include free of charge. Full calf, elaborately gilt spine in 6 compartments.
