Condition: Very Good +; Seven volume set, complete. 16mo. Three-quarter bound in red calf and marbled paper, with gilt fillet accents. Page edges marbled. The spines are lovely, with five raised bands, elaborate gilt tooling, black-and-brown morocco title labels, and gilt stamped titling. Set is very solid: only very slight wear to head/tail of spines, to joints and extremities. Marbled paper boards are lightly rubbed in spots. Dust soiling to head of text block. Spine of vol. 2 is missing both title labels. Vol. 7 is missing one. The interior of the set is lightly foxed and shows occasional dampstain near edges. Bookplate on all the front pastedowns.
