Eight hard covers with leather spines and corners, and marbled boards. Gilt titles within two black frames on each spine, some mild rubbing of leather and some wear of boards involving patchy loss of colour. Each volume has some spotting mostly confined to the beginning and end of the books. Volume I has vi, 494 and 440 pages; volume II has vi, 488 and 474 pages; volume III is in two books with vi, 471 and 558 pages; volume IV has vi, 495 pages; volume V has v, 470 pages with index at rear. A new edition of 8 books in 5 volumes in very good condition.
