Minton"); to first several front free endpapers are 52 signatures of First Battalion members in pencil, presumably signed at 1911 reunion dinner; black & white frontispiece photograph with tissue guard; 14 black & white photographs of ships and personnel throughout textblock; Commodore Jacob W. Miller signed in blue ink below his portrait opposite p. 64; Commander Russell Raynor signed in pencil below his portrait opposite p. 110; pencil sketch of person to rear free endpaper ("H [ illegible] listening to speeches"); additional pencil list of personnel names with markings to rear pastedown; little wear to boards, with corners very lightly rubbed and head & tail of spine slightly softened, few marks and light-colored blemishes scattered across front and rear boards and middle of spine; interior very lightly age-toned; few small stray pencil marks to endpapers, one pencil X in margin of p. 171 next to owner's name; a very good to very good plus copy; delightfully inscribed and notated example of shipmate camaraderie accompanying this early days history of the New York Naval Reserve service.
