Rare, Worldcat locates nine copies. Eckel served in Co. C, Recruited in East Tennessee in 1862. They fought under Gen. Morgan in his retreat from Cumberland Gap through the mountains of Kentucky, to the Ohio River under Gen. Sherman in the Hundred Days battle to capture Atlanta; under Gen.
