Bright gilding on front; lace blindstamped pattern extends to spine and onto rear board. x + 245 pp. 19 sepia plates and over 200 engravings. Frontis w/ tissue guard is Queen Victoria. Some light, sporadic foxing at first and last few pages. Corners, head and tail of spine and joints rubbed, some wear and fraying to corners.
