Privately Printed. Bouquet was a British Army officer in the French and Indian War and Pontiac's War. He ordered the construction of a new British garrison on the site of the ruin French Fort Duquesne. Bouquet is given credit for naming the new garrison Fort Pitt and the village that grew up around it Pittsburgh. Very good copy of the first edition. No dust jacket. This copy is ex-library, there are 3 embossed stamps from the "Sweetwater County Library" in Wyoming, and the call letters are still on the spine. 224 pages. Bookseller Inventory # 19477
